This half-day event is intended for students who are interested in knowing more about UrbNet and the research that is carried out at the centre. The programme consists of two lectures and a handful of short talks, covering a wide range of topics and geographical areas, and of course, there will be plenty of opportunity to talk to UrbNet researchers over a cup of coffee and discuss urban interests and potential future projects.
UrbNet is a groundbreaking archaeological research initiative exploring the evolution of urbanism and urban networks from the Hellenistic Period to the Middle Ages. The centre is based at Aarhus University, School of Culture and Society, and is funded as a Centre of Excellence by the Danish National Research Foundation. UrbNet was inaugurated 30 January 2015.
