Abstract

This talk will bring together past, ongoing, and imminent work on craft and consumption in Viking-Age towns in the UK and Scandinavia. Using a range of methods drawn from archaeological scene, a thread will be drawn between work on the production and trade of bone/antler combs, and a new project on culinary identities in urban contexts.
