Abstract

In my lecture, I would like to provide an overview of my work in the archaeological field project in Doliche (southeastern Turkey). Within the project (about which we will hear more in Michael Blömer's lecture on February 12), I am responsible for the intensive urban survey. We conducted our first two field campaigns in 2017 and 2018. After a brief review of our current state of knowledge on the urban features of Doliche, I will present the aims and methodology of the survey. Finally, I will discuss some preliminary results of our field work.

The lecture will be followed by a wine reception.
