Abstract 

In 2014 during the campaign of the Danish-German Northwest Quarter project a hoard of Byzantine and Arab-Byzantine coins were found in an earthquake destroyed house. This coin hoard is the second of its kind from the region to be published and gives crucial insight into coin circulation and iconography in the early pre-reform Islamic period.
