Dr Jan Kindberg Jacobsen receives Queen Margrethe’s Roman Prize 2018
Project director of the excavation of Julius Caesar’s Forum in Rome Dr Jan Kindberg Jacobsen (The Danish Institute in Rome) was presented with Queen Margrethe’s Roman Prize 2018 at the annual meeting at the Danish Institute in Rome last Friday.
The prize, which aims to maintain and further develop the cultural connections between Denmark and Italy, is given to a researcher connected to the Danish Institute in Rome. In his function as project director of the Danish-Italian excavation of Caesar’s Forum funded by the Carlsberg Foundation, where professor and centre leader Rubina Raja is co-director, Jan Kindberg Jacobsen is of an immense importance for the collaboration between the Danish Institute in Rome and the Italian archaeologists and cultural institutions.
