Introduction of Laura Persdatter Gotfredsen
New research assistant at UrbNet.
In 2012 I completed my bachelor’s degree in European and Mediterranean Cultural Heritage from University of Primorska in Istria, Slovenia, with one semester at Classical Archaeology (BA) in Copenhagen. Before starting on my Masters, I undertook an internship at Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien in the Greek and Roman department. I finished my Research MA in Aegean Archaeology at University of Sheffield with Distinction in fall 2014. After living in various European countries, I moved back to Denmark to pursue a master’s degree in Sustainable Heritage Management at Aarhus University. During my studies I carried out a student internship at the Museum of Ancient Art, and continued on as a student worker. After completing my studies, I had an internship as a research assistant for Dr. Christos Tsirogiannis at the museum, where we unpacked and registered confiscated illegally excavated Apulian pottery from the antiquities dealer Robin Symes “collection”. I have continued to work voluntarily with dr. Tsirogiannis alongside my work as a web coordinator in the private sector in the past years.
I have joined UrbNet as a Research Assistant, where I will work with various projects and assignments, beginning with going through the Jerash Archive from Yale University
