Introduction of Nathalia B. Kristensen

New Research assistant in the Palmyra Portrait Project.

Nathalia B. Kristensen.

I am a classical archaeologist. I have both a bachelor and masters degree from Aarhus University. I wrote my master’s thesis on the Palmyrene coinage. I have been working for two years as a student helper for the Palmyra Portrait Project. My assignments have included adding new portraits to the database and working on the in situ contexts of the portraits found in the tombs. I will now, as a research assistant, work on the catalogue of the Palmyrene funerary portraits and continue my work with the in situ contexts by looking at the genealogies of the families in the tombs.
