New PhD student at Humboldt University
Former research assistant within the Palmyra Portrait Project, Jesper Vestergaard Jensen, has accepted a PhD position at Humboldt University in Berlin.
Jesper was offered and accepted a PhD position at the Ostia Forum Project at Humboldt University in Berlin. The topic of his research project will concern the architectural marble decoration of the Forum of Ostia on the basis of a large number of marble fragments excavated by the Ostia Forum Project. The main aim will be to ascertain the provenance, function, and original as well as the secondary context of the fragments. Furthermore, he will participate in the future excavations of the Ostia Forum Project.
He will start in Berlin on the 1 March 2020.
