Research assistant Eleanor Quasebarth Neil has graduated from Trinity College Dublin
On behalf of UrbNet, we congratulate Eleanor on this great achievement.
Eleanor shares the following about the event:
On 31 October, I graduated from Trinity College Dublin. It was a wonderful celebration, which I was happy to share with my family and my PhD supervisor (pictured here) Professor Christine Morris. The Registrar, Professor Neville Cox, spoke eloquently about the ways in which we had all been affected by Covid, and the unique ways in which it affected students and researchers. His speech invited reflection not just on the achievements of those in the room, but the personal and global hurdles we have all had to overcome in addition to our academic pursuits.
This ceremony not only marked the completion of my doctoral research but also the end of my time in Dublin. Eleven years ago, I moved to Ireland and over the past year have had many different types of leave-taking, with this one feeling like a final farewell. I got to say goodbye to an institution and a community, personal and academic, that has nurtured and challenged me, often simultaneously and I am excited by the next chapter, which is well underway here at Aarhus.
